APPROVAL

  • AICTE New Delhi: P2/B-11 RC(BB)/93/2403, dated 31st March 1994.
  • This rule shall be applicable to Diploma Course in Pharmacy.
  • The Candidate who are eligible for admission to Diploma Course shall submit their application complete in all respect along with attested copies of all certificates to the principals of the Institutes.
  • Application shall be filled by candidate in his/ her own hand writing.

NOTES

  • NON-CREAMY LAYER CERTIFICATE: The candidates claiming to belong to categories NT-2,NT-3 and OBC Shall submit a certificate, valid for the current year, and issued by concerned Sub Divisional Officer / Deputy Collector / Collector that the parent of the candidate to do not belong to creamy layer as per the relevant orders of the Government from time to time.
  • PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED (PH) CANDIDATE: As per the provisions in Clause 39 of Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation Act 1995, three 3% seats of total sanctioned intake capacity of all the institutions shall be reserved for physically handicapped candidates. These seats are within the sanctioned intake capacity.

Eligibility For Admission To 1st Yr Phar. Courses

  • For admission to the first year diploma course in pharmacy the candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or any other examination declared by the said Board to be equivalent there to, with and in
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Biology or Mathematics and
    • English
  • Duration of the course:- The duration of the course shall be for two academic years with each academic year spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days in addition to 750 hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months.

DOMICILE

i)Domicile Certificate is not necessary if the candidate has passed the qualify examination from a recognized institute in Maharashtra and has studied and passed his/ her X, XI, and XII standard examinations from a recognized school / college in Maharashtra.

NATIONALITY

Unless provided in these rules, the candidate must be an Indian national.

AGE LIMIT FOR ADMISSION

There shall not be any age limit for admission. Candidates passing the qualifying examination from an institution outside Maharashtra State shall be eligible for admission to this institute and that too, after exhausting all application from eligible candidates in Maharashtra State as above.15% Seat are reserved for foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian origin.

RESERVATION

Institution Level Reservation Seats shall be reserved for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State, as per the percentages given below,of the sanctioned intake, course wise, in all the Govt., Non Govt. Aided and Unaided Polytechnics. BACKWARD CLASS : Seats shall be reserved for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State, as per the percentages given below, of the sanctioned intake, course wise, in all the Govt., Non Govt. Aided and Unaided Polytechnics.

Scheduled Tribes including those living outside specified areas 7.0% ST
